Body-Line FootwearFoot discomfort is often treated as a local problem, but the foot is part of a larger force chain. When pressure is concentrated, arch support is missing, or a shoe shape fights your natural structure, the effect can travel upward through the knees, hips, and spine. ALTER LAB was created to build footwear around body-line balance — not standard sizing.
By analyzing foot structure and pressure distribution, we generate supportive geometries that address individual needs with precision. Instead of adding insoles or corrections after production, support is built directly into the structure of the shoe. No glue. No assembly. No guesswork. Each ALTER LAB shoe is produced on demand to support how your body meets the ground.
Data context: foot pain prevalence has been reported at 9–30% in population studies (population cohort review), and research links foot posture/function with lower-extremity pain (biomechanics study). Custom and 3D printed insole studies show that personalized structures can influence plantar pressure distribution (3D printed insole study).
ALTERLAB starts with your foot data, not a standard size chart. Each pair is made as a custom-fit 3D printed shoe designed to move with your whole day, with structure tuned for comfort, support, and fit.
You complete a foot scan from your phone, and we turn that data into a fit profile that helps guide your size, support, and custom-fit decision. The scan is the starting point for the pair, not just a sizing step.
Our goal is to reduce the usual break-in feeling by building the shoe around your scan data and fit preferences from the start, so the pair feels more ready from day one.
If the fit issue is caused by scan or data-processing error, we will review the case and offer one free reprint when eligible. Custom-fit pairs are made differently from standard retail shoes, so the policy is designed around that process.
